Hi Mill Valley Chess Families,

On Saturday, we will be going to MacDowell Montessori School located at 1706 W. Highland Avenue in Milwaukee. This tournament does not have a K-3 division. It will be a six round event with a K-5 division. This is probably not a good tournament for kids under Grade 3.

The $10 registration fee is paid on Saturday. Awards will include five Team Trophies, five Individual Trophies and Medals to 30th place. The flyer also states that all participants will receive a medal. As usual, you will need to arrive by 8:30 and awards will be about 4:30.

Here is the information: MacDowell Flyer <- Click here for info

If you bring your own lunch or snacks, please remember no peanut products. If you plan to attend, contact Mr. Reese by phone or email by 8pm on Thursday and we will take care of the registration. It’s also time to register for the Wisconsin Grade Level Championships being held on March 1st.

I will forward the registration forms and information about this tournament and other upcoming tournaments in an email later this week. Don’t forget to check out the Mill Valley web site at mvchess.blogspot.com. Hope to see you at MacDowell!
